ABOUT US

We began brewing 10 gallons at a time in the garage many years ago like many other great breweries.  The first beer we ever brewed was the Empirical IPA. While that recipe has evolved over time, the essence of it never changed.  Now brewing 200 gallons at a time, we continue the long tradition of "bootstrapping" and hard work to bring a wide selection of our favorite styles to life.

From malty stouts, porters and brown ales to a double red, a classic ESB,  and our refreshing local favorite, Burt's Summer American wheat ale, there is something for every palate.  And don't let us forget about special barrel-aged ales and, of course, our world class IPAs.

After many books, projections, podcasts, revised projections, conferences, many trips to speak with brewers, and "sampling" beer all over the country (R&D), we have set our sights to the sky and there ain't no turning back!!
